Captain Doug Jowett, aka Captain Pinetree, is a full time, Master Maine guide fishing for striped bass and false albacore. He fly fishes on the waters of Maine and Cape Cod. Doug specializes in the use of Spey/Double Handed fly rod applications on coastal waters. He is on the Pro Staff of Diamondback Fly rods, has taught fly casting in some of the most prestigious fly fishing schools in the country, in his own fly fishing school in Maine and Canada, has been featured numerous times in national publications and striped bass fishing videos long after catching his first fly rod striped bass from Maine's Mousam River in 1963. Doug can often be seen at Northeast US sportsman show demonstrating beginning and advanced fly casting techniques.
