FISHING IN ALASKA

August 2007 fishing trip booked through AlaskaSport.Com. 

Our trip was a semi guided trip with seven days of fishing Lake Creek. We had two rafts to accommodate one guide with five rods (aka fishermen). Our guide was Charlie from Hook & Trigger.

Our catch included king salmon, silver salmon, reds, chum salmon, pink salmon, rainbow trout, grayling and white fish.  We targeted rainbow trout primarily and it was nothing for a good angler to catch thirty to fifty fish a day. 

The rafts, tents and equipment provided by the outfitter was top shelf. 

Our guide Charlie provided freshly prepared meals.  The menu included:  wild blueberry pancakes for breakfast, moose sausage, reindeer sausage, grilled chicken, smoked grilled salmon and pasta and chicken with a garlic cream sauce. 

The scenery of Alaska is unbelievable and has to be seen by oneself to be appreciated.  Fish-Maine would not hesitate to recommend a trip with Charlie as your guide.  He provided service beyond what I had expected.
