Mandingo Sailing
Playa Tamarindo, Costa Rica
Our traditionally gaff-rigged schooner " Lemuria " measures a
length over deck of 43 feet, LOA 50ft. She was finished in 1996 in France.
She is equipped with all electronics: VHF radio, depth sounder, EPIRB,
GPS, Log and a 70 HP diesel engine.
Safety equipment includes 23 Lifejackets, 2 Life-rafts ( 6pax each ) 4
anchors, flares and water-maker. Lemuria has spacious cockpit and good walk-around
possibility (all in teak). She offers sleeping for 8pax max and can take up to 15 passengers on
day-cruises.
Below deck she is furnished with precious mahogany woods. Head, pantry and
refigerator. Lots of snorkel masks and fins!
Sunset
Cruise
A 3 hour excursion, from 3pm until sunset. We sail around Tamarindo Bay looking
for marine life and
enjoying the fabulous Tamarindo sunset; listening to sunset music (
classical, if you like or Enya.) Beer, white & red wine, soft drinks,
snacks, dips and a plate of fresh tropical fruits are included.
US $45pp (minimum boat price: US$180)
Snorkel
Cruises
Costa Rican pacific waters host a variety of tropical fish. You will find at
least 50% of the fish species represented on the plastified fish-chart that
we carry on board. There is to be discovered; Eels, puffer fish, parrot
fish, trigger fish, rays and etc. Of course, during the sail we set out to find
dolphins, manta-rays, devil-rays and whales. Whales can be spotted from December throughout
March & April.
5 Hour Excursion Either from 8am-1pm or
1pm until sunset. We head out to a deserted cove to go snorkeling,
beachcombing, etc. After snorkeling, lunch is served. During the 5 hours,
drinks, snacks and fruits are available. All snorkeling gear is provided..
US $60 pp (minimum boat price $240 )
Full Day Sail 10am
until sunset. Same as the half day snorkel cruise, except that we either stay longer in one
cove for snorkeling, or we go to two different coves.
